Who makes Over It
Who builds this app, the rules we write by, and where what an app can do for you runs out.
Who makes Over It?
Over It is made by a small independent team based in Argentina that builds the app and writes this site. It isn't the product of a clinic, an insurer or a healthcare company: it's a self-funded project, paid for by the subscriptions of the people who use it. You can reach the team directly at contact@over-it.app.
Over It didn't come out of a university or a health provider. It's made by people who build products, not by people who treat patients. Saying that up front is part of the deal: you'll always know where we're speaking from.
The app is built in Argentina, and it shows in the writing. The Spanish version sounds like the way people actually talk there. The English version isn't that page run through a translator — it's written again, so it lands as naturally in its own language.
What you won't find on this page is a made-up founder, a polished origin story or a faceless "team of experts". When there are people to name with their role and their credentials, they'll be here by name, not represented by a stock photo.
What exactly is Over It?
Over It is a self-help app for getting through a breakup. It's on iOS only, in English and Spanish. Downloading it is free and full access runs on a subscription; the current price appears on the App Store listing before you pay. There is no Android version: if you find an Over It on Android, it isn't us.
These are the features the app has today. There are no others, and everything listed on this site is real:
- Ninety — an emotional chat available around the clock. Ninety is a character powered by artificial intelligence: not a person, not a therapist.
- Anonymous community — posts and replies from other people going through the same thing, with no names attached.
- Guided breathing — with a crisis mode, a calm mode and one for falling asleep.
- Daily challenges — one small action a day, with a streak and a day counter.
- Panic button — for the exact moment you're about to text them: it shows you your own reasons before you do.
- Mood tracker — a calendar of how you've actually been feeling.
- Supportive quotes, articles and resources by category: Anxiety, Self-esteem, Relationships, Science, Grief and New Horizons.
The download is free and full access runs on a subscription, billed through the App Store. We don't publish prices here because they change by country and over time, and a stale number on a web page is a promise the store won't keep. The price that counts is the one you see on the listing before you confirm.
Why does this app exist?
Over It exists because breakups hurt at hours when nobody is available. At three in the morning there's no session booked, no friend awake, and the only screen within reach is the chat with your ex. The app is built for that gap: something concrete to do when the urge shows up and the next real conversation is still days away.
The point was never to replace anyone. It was to cover the hours when there's nobody there.
A breakup has a part you work through by talking and a part you get through by holding on. The second part is the days where nothing new happens and it still hurts, and the nights when the urge to text wins out of sheer exhaustion. That part is easier with something in your hands.
So the app is built around small, concrete actions — one breathing exercise, the challenge of the day, hitting the panic button instead of opening the conversation — rather than around things to read. Reading helps. At three in the morning, doing helps more.
What are Over It's limits?
Over It is self-help: it keeps you company, gives structure and offers tools, but it isn't therapy, it isn't a crisis service and it doesn't replace a mental health professional. Ninety, the app's chat, is a character powered by artificial intelligence and it can be wrong. If your life is at risk, the app isn't the place: get emergency help where you are.
Ninety holds a good conversation and it's there at any hour, but underneath it's a language model: it can be wrong, it can sound confident while being wrong, and it has no way of knowing what someone who can see your face knows. Use it for what it is — somewhere to unload and untangle your head at any hour — not as a clinical opinion.
| Good for this | Not for this |
|---|---|
| Company between sessions, or when there are no sessions | Replacing therapy or an ongoing treatment |
| Holding no contact at the exact moment the urge hits | Handling an emergency or a risk to your life |
| Understanding what's happening to you and naming it | Giving you a diagnosis |
| Seeing that you're not the only one this happens to | Telling you whether to get back together or not |

Frequently asked questions
Is Over It legit?
Over It is a real app, published on the App Store, built by a small independent team in Argentina and funded by subscriptions. What makes an app in this space trustworthy is what it promises: Over It doesn't promise to fix you, doesn't promise a timeline and doesn't present itself as therapy. It doesn't yet have a licensed reviewer signing off on the content, and we say that here instead of hiding it.
Is there an Android version of Over It?
No. Over It is iOS only, through the App Store. There's no Android app, no open beta and no announced date. If something called Over It shows up on Google Play, it isn't this app. There's also a separate breakup app with a similar name on the App Store, so it's worth checking the developer before you download.
How much does Over It cost?
Downloading it is free. Full access runs on a subscription billed by Apple through the App Store. We don't publish the price on this site because it varies by country and changes over time, and an out-of-date number here would be a promise the store doesn't keep. The price that counts is the one on the App Store listing, shown before you confirm.
You're going through a breakup. You're not in this alone.
Over It is a guided path out of a broken heart, one day at a time.
